Directions from Porto Airport or the South (Coimbra, Lisbon)

Take direction – A3 Braga/Valenca – the first sign is on your left & difficult to see so drive carefully after leaving the airport |

Continue to follow signs A3 Braga |

Follow direction Braga / Valenca – go through toll-gate / take ticket |

After 45Km - take Exit nr.8 - Braga Este – pay toll |

Follow directions Braga Sul – then pick up signs for Braga Este / N103 / Chaves (ignore the first blue Motorway sign for Chaves) |

Follow road for 4/5 km (you will pass a large store Continente - Minho Shopping Centre - on right hand side) |

1 km after you pass Continente keep over to the right hand side & before the underpass – take slip road to right (direction Chaves) and come up onto the side of the roundabout - turn right and follow road – direction Chaves
– move out onto dual carriageway & stay over to the left and go down the underpass (you can just see McDonalds
on left hand side) and follow road |

Cross over three small roundabouts – keep going straight at all times - at top of hill you will come to the fourth roundabout - keep to the right at roundabout – always follow direction Povoa de Lanhosa / Chaves |

Follow road for 15 kms – direction Povoa de Lanhosa ⁄ Chaves (N101) |

You will come to a roundabout with large gold balls (look like old sea-mines) - you will see sign for Povoa de Lanhoso on the roundabout – town is to the right – but go straight across and continue to follow the road to Chaves |

Stay on the main road for 800 metres further |

Take next left signposted N205 to Amares |
| 13. |
Follow the road for 3km (going down-hill with lots of bends)
Go through Geraz do Minho (village) – very small |

After about 400m you will pass a restaurant on left hand side down off the road – "Calva" – you will only see assign
and the top of the restaurant |

After another 100m you will see on right hand side a "Valvolene" sign (small garage & car sales forecourt) |
| 16. |
50 m further (hidden small road in the bend) – you will see a sign Casa Progua – turn left here – the road is named St.Tecla but it is a very small sign |

Casa da Pedra is the first house you see on the left hand side – park outside front door |

If you miss the Casa Progua turning there is a turnaround place 400m further down the road |
